It was a greatest of all luxuries to go to the beach carrying nothing but a towel, to read in the shade or go into of the ocean. Jockey’s Ridge State Park

Once you are done relaxing at the beach, you can explore one of the most popular destinations in Nags Head: Jockey’s Ridge State Park. It is a wonderful playground for visitors, with the tallest natural sand dune system in the eastern United States. You can go hang gliding or sand-boarding (permits from and/or registration with the park office necessary). At the same time, families can construct sand castles, fly kites, or hike to the top of the dunes for a sunset show.

Nags Head Fishing Pier

Nags Head Fishing Pier is one of the earliest and longest piers. Famous for its great fishing. You can walk along the wooden planks or eat while taking in a view of the ocean. The Nags Head Fishing Pier is privately operated, and the restaurant serves delicious OBX food.
